Hold the phone however you like — that angle becomes neutral
when you drop in. Lean it left or right to set the edge; tap the screen any
time to re-centre.
Ride the groomed piste down to the village. Deep powder off the
sides kills your speed, kickers launch you into the air — and skiers and
snowy pines end the run. Sharper carves scrub more speed, so pick your line.
BLUE is wide and flowing, BLACK alternates steep pitches with flat shelves
and puts tree islands in your way.
Points come from carving: the harder you set the edge while
still driving down the fall line, the more snow flies and the more a linked
run of turns pays. In the air, hold GRAB or SPIN — but land square, or the
trick is worth nothing and you lose your balance.
The FUNPARK has a jib line: ride onto a box or a rail — the two
flags mark the entry — hold your balance with the steering, and hold SPIN to
bring the board round for a boardslide. Hold GRAB as well to bone it out, if you
can keep your balance one-handed. It pops you off the end into the air.
Carve up the pipe wall or the quarter and cross the lip still going
out, and it throws you: the harder you hit it, the higher it goes, and it hands
you back pointing into the pipe so you come down on the wall you left. Grab it
or spin it on the way.
Tap OLLIE to pop off the snow — the harder the edge is loaded,
the higher it goes, so freestyle does not have to wait for a kicker. Hold GRAB
and slide your thumb: the button tells you which grab you have, and holding it
steady bones it out. Sliding on SPIN picks the direction — slide back the other
way and the rotation comes off again. A half rotation lands you switch, and the
next trick out of switch is a fakie.
